213 Gwandalan to Sandy Hollow NSW

G’day Erik

After a couple of relaxing days in Gwandalan, we headed west once again across the top of Wollemi National Park to Sandy Hollow. It should have been called Sleepy Hollow. It was a quiet little town situated in a scenic little valley between Singleton and Merriwa. A short walk around town was followed by a longer visit to the playground. We contemplated a short walk into the bush and up the mountain above the campground but let it go. Your Mum is six months pregnant with your little brother and a fellow camper advised us that you had to ‘bush-bash a fair bit’ to get to the summit. It looked like you would have a spectacular view of the valley from up there. It’s a good thing we didn’t go as within an hour, there was a downpour and the caravan park quickly developed some sizeable ponds of water around the van.

Lotsa Love Dad
